My meals since Saturday:
Pizza
Fajitas
Leftover Pizza
More leftover pizza
Fried chicken
Leftover fried chicken
Breakfast hash (a mix of potatoes, sausage, smoked meat, veggies, poached eggs and cheese with a chipotle hollandaise)
I think I’ll just go with salad for a the next little while. Or maybe I’ll just fast.

I’ve been eating mostly pasta. I really like pasta.

I’m on a strict diet of my children’s Halloween candy, and all the candy we bought that we couldn’t give away because no one came down our damn street and we were the only house on our block with porch lights on and candy at the ready.

I enjoy pasta, too, although those with an Italian upbringing would find my sauce to be an affront to their culture. I tend to put a lot of spices in my meat sauce that are not typically used in Italian cooking, plus I like it a little bit spicy.

You’ve already had trick or treaters? Either kids in your area come by really early or you’re not in North America (I didn’t know trick or treating was a thing outside of NA).
Tomorrow is my Halloween since I’ll be going to the grocery store to pick up some clearance candy. I generally don’t eat much candy but at clearance prices, how could I afford not to?

I have to believe that some variations of authentic italian sauces are spicy. But perhaps with spices other than what you are using?
Also, if you think it tastes good, what else matters?
I’m fairly certain some of the methods with which I produce my pasta meals would be a shot to the heart of an italian and I would certainly like to become more skilled in making my own sauces.

I’m in Wisconsin. Our local one (and the one a town over) was Saturday night. Sunday was a few towns over. Not many do T or T during the week, due to kids being in school I guess. Its always been the weekend before or after Halloween itself.

Its the closest weekend?

huh! I’ve never heard of that.
Sounds great to me, I have to get home during rush hour and basically just start handing out candy rather than have dinner

Yeah WTF its a school night. Kids should be doing homework and going to bed early, not dressing up to get all whacked out on candy.

I didn’t realize that some communities did that. Around here, it’s always on the 31st which is why Halloween is way better on weekends.

Totally!
Can I move to your town?

Sure. Lots of houses for sale on Zillow, and the place down the street from me next to the auto shop is for rent. They sometimes work on some pretty Jalop vehicles.

Yeah it tastes great to me which is why I make it that way. It’s one of those things that seems to get better after a night in the fridge and then reheated the next day.

I went in “diet” and lost 30 lbs in last 3 months.
I ate chicken cheese, sour cream, chicken, heavy whipping cream, cheese, turkey, cheese, chicken.
No fruits.
No milk
No bread.
No sugar.

The hereditary wheat allergy that runs through my mom’s side just kicked in big-time as of late, so I’m in the process of switching to a more corn, rice, and potato-based diet. Fun stuff, eh?

Don’t have tequila, I used whiskey instead. This morning wasn’t kind to me.

Dang, I love wheat.
Then again, I also love corn, rice, and potatoes. You can still make it work, although I would miss really good bread.

Are you doing one of those high protein/high fat/no carb diets? I’ve heard that can work wonders. 30 lbs in 3 months is a pretty big deal, I hope you can reach your goal.

you’re probably on the same page.
It’s high protein, high fat, “almost no” carb (20 gm a day).. diet.
I won’t lie.. I have stalled a few times and each time I did, I did an egg fast:
Only eggs and some sour cream and cheese all day long. For upto three days.
One of my goal(s) is to win the weight loss challenge at work:
8 people, $100 / person, winner takes it all.
So,
If I win:
I’ll win $800.
If I lose:
I’ll end up paying $100 for losing 30 plus pounds.
Thanks for the good words and wishes. I have reached a point where everyone at work / friends / family has noticed that I have lost considerable weight and I wasn’t overly fat to begin with.
